Specific responsibilities

The helper accompanies the lead installer to each job site, assists with preparing materials and tools, and performs installation steps under direct guidance. After the apprenticeship period, you may be assigned to independently handle simple tasks.

  • Prepare and carry curtain tracks, curtain boxes, curtain fabric, and drilling and fastening tools onto the vehicle and into the job site.
  • Hold the measuring tape, hand over tools, and help hold the curtain track while the lead installer drills and fastens it to the plasterboard ceiling or concrete wall.
  • Learn how to align and mark positions, remeasure the distances between fastening points, and check the straightness of the curtain track with a measuring tool and laser level.
  • Help hang the curtains, arrange the pleats, and adjust the fabric drop after the lead installer finishes installing the curtain track.
  • Clean up drilling debris, packaging, and leftover materials after completing each job.
  • Gradually learn how to install automatic curtain motors and connect remotes under the supervision of the lead installer.
