2-Layer Fabric Curtains + Horizontal Striped Roller Blinds – Duc Hoa Apartment, Long An
This project was carried out in a modern apartment in Duc Hoa, Long An – a rapidly developing area in the western part of Ho Chi Minh City. The customer needed a curtain solution that could meet the requirement for flexible light control while harmonizing with a modern living room space featuring black-gray paneled walls and a plaster ceiling.
The spatial challenge was quite complex: large windows exposed to direct sunlight all day, while the customer wanted to ensure privacy in the evening and maintain the ability to flexibly adjust brightness at different times without having to pull the curtains completely. The dark wall paneling also required that the curtains not be chosen with too great a color contrast.
The applied solution was to combine 2-layer fabric curtains with horizontal striped roller blinds: the outer light grey fabric layer maintains aesthetics, combined with the inner creamy white sheer layer providing effective light filtering. In addition, horizontal striped roller blinds were installed on the left window with separate light adjustment mechanisms, allowing subtle adjustment without touching the fabric curtains. This choice both increases flexibility and avoids pulling the fabric curtains too frequently, which affects their lifespan.
The installation results achieved good quality: neat seams, industry-standard folds, and standard floor-length. The tracks were firmly fixed without warping, the fabric curtains pulled smoothly, fitting snugly against the wall without wrinkling. The entire system operates smoothly, fully meeting the customer’s light control and privacy protection requirements.
